![]() When I convert the files from mp3 to wav format and then use Brasero to put them on the CD, they function just fine in the Sony player, otherwise they are not played correctly in the player. Without doing the conversion, I have not been able to get the CD to play correctly in the Sony player (but its instructions say that it IS compatible (supposed to play mp3 files). The reason that I am doing the conversion is because I want to put these mp3 music files on a CD and play them in my Sony CD player. to use it with software that only supports wav. Only do this if you have an mp3 that you NEED in wav format - e.g. MintBean wrote:Be aware that you're converting from a lossy compressed file format (mp3) to a lossless uncompressed file format (wav) - so you're getting the worst of both worlds the larger file size of wav combined with the limited quality of mp3.
